The Odia Varnamala saree is one of the most unique handloom creations from Nuapatna, Odisha — where the letters of the Odia script are woven directly into the silk fabric using the traditional single ikat resist-dyeing technique. Each letter is tie-dyed onto the silk thread before weaving, requiring extraordinary precision from the weaver. The result is a saree that carries the Odia language itself — a deeply meaningful gift for anyone who takes pride in Odisha's cultural identity.
Woven in mulberry silk at Nuapatna in Cuttack district — the sacred weaving cluster that has produced silk sarees for Lord Jagannath since the 12th century. The multicolour Varnamala motifs are set against a rich silk body with a contrast border and matching pallu.
Comes with a contrast black blouse piece.
Wash care: Dry clean only.
Only 1 piece available — each Varnamala saree is individually handwoven and cannot be exactly reproduced.
