Collection: Kotpad Tribal Sarees

Kotpad sarees are among India's most distinctive handloom traditions — woven by the Mirgan community, known locally as Panika weavers, using organic cotton and natural dyes derived from the aal tree root. The result is a rich palette of deep maroon, earthy red and warm brown tones, entirely free of synthetic chemicals. Bold geometric motifs are woven into the border and pallu. Kotpad was the first Odisha handloom to receive a Geographical Indication tag in 2005. Every Kotpad saree at Bidyut Fashion House is sourced directly from Kotpad weavers in Koraput district, Odisha.
