Collection: Sambalpuri Double Ikat Sarees

Sambalpuri double ikat — also known as Sambalpuri Ikkat or Bandha — is one of India's most technically demanding handloom traditions, where both warp and weft threads are resist-dyed before weaving, creating patterns that align perfectly and appear identical on both sides of the fabric. Our collection features the most celebrated double ikat designs from Odisha: Pasapalli with its iconic chess-board checks rooted in the Mahabharata; Bichitrapuri with its rich gold and silk thread motifs; Nabakothi with nine sacred squares representing the Navagraha; Utkal Laxmi with floral and rudraksha borders; Boita Bandhana celebrating Odisha's maritime heritage; and Jungle Theme with animals and forest motifs. Available in cotton and silk. Every saree handwoven by skilled Sambalpuri weavers in Odisha.
