Khandua silk saree is a traditional Ikat weaving handloom Silk Saree from Odisha handloom. Ikat weaving is a complex, labor consuming resist dyeing process where bundles of yarn are tied together , then dyed in multiple steps to bring in these artistic design. Historically this saree woven for Lord Jagannath at Puri Dham, India's one of the 4 sacred Dham/religious place. Also used as costume for Odishi classical dance, and preferred saree during marriages, and festival time.
